His story:

  Mr. Sompong Sutinsak is one of the most successful person in Thamaka  Kanchanaburi. He is successful because of working hard all his life. He never stops working although he has retired from his work in a bank. He is still working for society, especially in the education and religion affairs. He is a helpful man. He helps many schools by supporting many activities such as Dhamma promotion in schools. He has written many books about Dhamma, for example the composition of Kratoo Dhamma.  He has written poems about the temples in Thailand where he used to visit.  In Thamakavittayakom school, everyone calls him “Khun lung” that means uncle.  He makes a lot of useful things in Thamakavittayakom such as looking for funds to  support school and gives some good advice to school as much as he can.   He has taken care of school for ages and never felt tired of it . He works in school as the president of teachers and parents association  the president of the committee of Thamakavittayakom school  basic of education  the director of Dhamma Promotion Center in school.  About his life, he was born on 6^th  November B.E. 2468 in Banpong, Ratchaburi.When he was 10 years old, he started to  study in Pratom 1 at watpakrad ,Berkpai,  Banpong. At that time his father died so he  lived with difficulty. He studied at Wat Plakrad until he was in Pratom 2. After that he transferred to study at Wat Hup krating from Pratom 3 to Pratom 4. In B.E. 2482, he had to go away from his house in Banpong. He went to live in  Wat Lumrung, Muang Ratchaburi to continue to study. He lived there from  B.E. 2482 to  B.E. 2491. In B.E 2485 he started working as being a teacher in Wat Thaklong school  which is  near Wat Lumrung. Two years later he transferred to teach at Wat Banglee Tharab  Amphur  Maung , Ratchaburi. In B.E. 2488 he transferred to be the head master in Wat Aranyikaram school in Jadeehuk sub district, Muang , Ratchaburi. In B.E.2490, he resigned from being a teacher in order to be a monk for practicing Dhamma. He was a  monk for a year. Later He resigned from being a monk and went to  Bangkok for working. He stayed in Wat Sommanuswiharn and tried to look for a job to do for a year but he couldn’t. In B.E. 2492 He came back to Ratchaburi and started working as a billiard marker at the Government official Association of Ratchaburi province at the same time he worked in the Co-Op. of the government official too.  In B.E. 2494, he was a teacher again in Bumrungrat school ( Piboolsongkramoopatum)  in Ratchaburi. He worked there for a year and he changed a new job. He was a head of workers to build a new road in Ratchaburi. His new office was the  provincial highway which was in the department of public works and town. In B.E. 2499, his friend persuaded him to work in Siam city Bank which was the first  commercial bank in Nakhonpratom. He worked there for a year. While he was working in a  bank he met his wife who worked  with him. In B.E. 2500 he married her. After that they  transferred to work together in Siam  city  bank in Tharua Thamaka Kanchanaburi. It is the first commercial bank in Thamaka.   In Thamaka Khunlung Sompong and his wife, Mrs. Sirinut,has been living together with happiness and they have three children. They have helped each other to make their family  firm and happy. They have been successful in working because  of  being honest and helpful.  They are kind to everyone. At Siam city bank, Khunlung Sompong worked as the manger of a bank. He worked in the bank until he retired his work in B.E. 2531 at the age of sixty.

 His role in society:

 Khunlung Sompong Sutinsak, while he was working hard in the bank he always  looked

 at people around him and gave them a hand as he could. He was kind to everybody

 who  needed for help. Not only working in a bank but he also helped the public to do the

 activities both in Thamaka and Kanchanaburi. In B.E. 2504 he used to be the committee

 of santitation district of Tharua, Thamaka,  Kanchanaburi.( Now it is Tharua- Prataen

 municipality)  In B.E.2508 he started to involve with the provincial politic by being

 elected to be a member of Kanchanaburi council ( Thamaka representative ) 5 times.

 For the social affairs he has been still working in society from the past to the present.

 He has helped the public especially about education and religion. He works as hard as

 he can. He worked hard until he could get a lot of Royal decoration  of honor from the

 king.  Although he is 82 years old he is still strong to work hard for society, especially

 for Thamakavittayakom school. He intends to make the students  nowadays understand

 about  moral and religion so he  set the project of teaching   Dhamma in school. He let 

 Thamakavittayakom school be the center of Dhamma   promotion and teach the

  students  about Dhamma and have the examination for   getting degree which we call  “

 Nakdhamma ek,  Nakdhamma tho, Nakdhamma tri”   in Thai. It’s not only the tudents

 have a test but the teacher  do too. 

 His writing :

 He used to be a teacher so he is still excellent in Thai language and be able to  write

 many kinds of writing especially Thai poems. He can write many kinds of Thai  poem

 and he always writes them about himself and the temples he has visited,for  example,

 Wat Surachayaram , Wat Prataendongrung, Wat Thammikaramworwiharn  Amphur

 Muang Prachuabkirikhun. He has written a composition to explain Dhamma

 ( Kaekratoodhamma) for Dhammasuksa examination. By the way he had the 

 opportunity to go many places both in Thailand and abroad so he had many

 resources  to write. He is one of the good  model that many people should study about

 him. Why  he is successful and can spend  his life helpfully and happily.

Unity

    "Unity"

According to the Webster’s dictionary unity means to combine as one, consolidated. To me unity means to be together and work as one. Unity is a very important part in the world today because without unity everyone would be mad and aggravated with each other. Unity is so important that there were songs written about it, such as We Are One, by Dan Seals. The song is mostly about kids in different countries that are having a hard time with prejudice and segregation. Most of you must of heard the saying “united we stand, divided we fall.” That means when we are together we will stand firm and when we are divided we will fail and collapse. An example of why disunity is bad is if you are on a sports team and the  team is not working together and not passing the ball your team will lose because one person will try to score without passing and then many opposing players will gang up on that person and steal the ball from him or her. Sadly today, there is not a lot of unity in the world, nations are at war. Some nations are fighting their own citizens and many people are dying. The world is not making much progress. Now I am going to quote a famous Prophet who said “We are the leaves of one tree and the fruits of one branch.” That means we as human beings should work together and not fight. We should be as united as the fingers of one hand. Another advantage of unity is that it makes for happy people. When children are taught about unity when they are young they will become kind and fair adults. All together unity is oneness, wholeness, and togetherness. Also without unity we will never achieve world peace. Before I end my speech I would like to leave you with these words and I quote “so powerful is the light of unity that it can illumine the whole earth.” Please think about these words and try to promote peace.

My beloved King

  

My beloved King

             About seventy-nine years ago, on 5^th October 1927 in Cambridge, Massachusetts,

The United States of America. A Thai baby in Chakri Dynasty was born. Eighteen years later

he became the King of Thailand. He is the King under the constitutional practice. He has practiced as the King of Thailand very neatly and keenly. He never complains anything.He never feels tired of although the country was in crisis. On the other hands he could manage this very quickly because of love he gives the people and the people give love to him. Everything got on well quickly.
               He does everything for his people intentionally , with smiling face.s eyes look kind when he look at his people. He knows every problem of  people and can solve them quickly. He is one of the most intelligent king in the world. He has been able to understand about every field such as science, music, education, art, agriculture and so on. He can manageEverything by his intelligence. He is the father of all.

              His Majesty the King empowers Thai people through many Royal projects, Royal speeches, Royal activities to education, health care and nutrition for his people better lives.He is the Father of all in Thailand. He is a pattern to follow to learn how to be a good and have good life.
             He teaches his people to practice their better lives by using the policy of sufficient economy. He teaches them earn their living as they can do and spend their lives sufficiently and happily. 
            His Majesty the King rules Thailand with love for unity, peace and happiness. He sacrifices  for his people, goes through countless trips around the country learning at first  about the problemsnd hardships encountered by people. He has been able to suggest solutions which have broughtthem progress and prosperity, visited the  poorest and listened to their problems. Empowered them to take their lives into their own hands.       

        All of his life he has contributed to the development and the better livehood of Thais.  

       "Without His Majesty’s guiding had, Thailand would not be what it’s today. "

        He is beloved and respected by all Thai. 

        He is the soul and the father of  Thailand.                                                                

        He is more than the king, more than the leader, more than the teacher.

        He is The King of hearts, of  hopes, of dreams. He is the symbol of unity for Thai  people. 

        Because of these things, they have  reminded Thai people think of their beloved King all time and devoted to him for his goodness.            

       This year, it’s year to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of  the King’s accession to the throne. All of Thai people in the country are celebrating by wearing yellow shirts and wristbands “We love our   King.” around Thailand.
       His Majesty the King is very well known all over the world as the king who rules his country peacefully for the longest reign in the world. Many monarchies in the world came to visit Thailand for celebrating this Royal ceremony. Every where in Thailand people have celebrated this with love. When I watched television about this celebration and saw The King and The Queen waved their  hands from the balcony of Prateenung Anandasamakom to greet millions of people on the ground around the statue of King Rama the fifth  and on the Rachadamnoen AvanueI felt happy especially when I heard them shouted loudly Long Live the King, Long live the King and stay with us forever. They spoke with tear of happiness. It means my beloved king is the love of all Thais. The King who sacrificed  all of his life for his people. I promise I shall be a good Thai citizen  and walk after my beloved king.  May be reign long and may I wish him a wonderful healthy and happy life

From Thamaka to Sydney

จากท่ามะกาสู่ เมืองซิดนีย์ ( From Thamaka to Sydney)

           6 มีนาคม 2548 สายการบินไทยเที่ยวบิน TG 993 จาก กรุงเทพฯสู่ชิดนีย์และปลายทางคือเมืองเมลเบอร์น ได้ทะยานสู่ฟ้าเมื่อเวลา 8.00น มุ่งไปทางตะวันออกลงสู่ซีกโลกใต้เหนือมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิคเที่ยวบินนี้เรียกว่า Direct Flight คือไม่แวะพักเครื่องที่ใดเลย บินจากกรุงเทพฯตรงไปเมืองซิดนีย์และนครเมลเบอร์นใช้เวลาบนเครื่องประมาณ 9 ชั่วโมงและถึงซิดนีย์ประมาณ 3ทุ่มเวลาท้องถิ่น.(เวลาประเทศไทย 5โมงเย็น) เวลาในออสเตรเลียจะเร็วกว่าประเทศไทยประมาณ 4 ชั่วโมงในฤดูร้อนและ 3ชั่วโมงในฤดูหนาว ที่สนามบิน วิทยากรจากสถาบันภาษามาต้อนรับและพาคณะครูไปส่งตามบ้านที่คณะครูต่างๆต้องอาศัยในช่วงเข้ารับการอบรม ซึ่งได้รับการต้อนรับดีมากผู้มาต้อนรับเป็นวิทยากรที่ให้การอบรม วิทยากรเหล่านี้มาจากสถาบันภาษาที่มีเครือข่ายทั่วออสเตรเลีย ข้าพเจ้าได้วิทยากรที่มาจากเมืองบริสเบนซึ่งเป็นเมืองหลวงของรัฐควีนแลนด์ ให้การอบรม เมืองหลวงของประเทศออสเตรเลียคือกรุงแคนเบอราอยู่ในรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลเช่นเดียวกับซิดนีย์แต่ซิดนีย์เป็นเมืองหลวงของรัฐ   การเดินทางจากซิดนีย์ไปแคนเบอราใช้เวลาในการเดินทางประมาณ 3-4 ชั่วโมงโดยมุ่งไปตามเส้นทางตะวันตกเฉียงใต้นครซิดนึย์ มุ่งสู่กรุงแคนเบอราเมืองหลวงที่มีชื่อเสียงในการจัดผังเมืองได้สวยงามที่สุดในโลกและเป็นเมืองที่เงียบสงบได้ฉายาว่าเป็น Official City

          ก้าวแรกที่ข้าพเจ้าได้สัมผัสเมืองซิดนีย์มีความรู้สึกคุ้นตามากโดยเฉพาะ Opera houseและสะพานซิดนีย์

(Sydney Bridge)เพราะเคยเห็นในรูปจนเจนตาในหลายสิ่งหลายอย่างผสมผสานกับความแปลกตาและความเจนตาจากรูปถ่าย สัมผัสตัวจริงของจิงโจ้ที่มีขนาดเล็กกว่าจิงโจ้ที่เคยเห็นในประเทศไทย สัมผัสชายหาดที่เว้าแหว่งเป็นอ่าวเล็กๆที่เรียงรายไปตามชายฝั่งทะเลที่เป็นมหาสมุทรอันกว้างใหญ่มีหน้าผาสูงชันสลับกับชายหาดยาวโค้งโดยมีหน้าผาบังลมเป็นช่วงๆ น้ำทะเลสีฟ้าเข้มจนเกือบดำ บ่งบอกถึงความลึกของทะเลและคลื่นลมที่ถาโถมมาอย่างรุนแรงจนเกิดกีฬายอดนิยมคือการเล่นกระดานโต้คลื่น( Wind surf) ประเทศออสเตรเลียมีชายฝั่งทะเลที่เป็นหน้าผาสูงชันเกือบรอบประเทศเพราะลักษณะภูมิประเทศเป็นพื้นดินที่ยกตัวขึ้นจากมหาสมุทรจึงเกิดหน้าผาสูงชันริมทะเลโดยมีอ่าวเล็กๆเว้าแหว่งและเกิดเป็นชายหาดสั้นๆ เป็นแนวยาวไปตามชายฝั่งทวีป  ศูนย์กลางของเมืองซิดนีย์ตั้งอยู่ในอ่าวซิดนีย์ซึ่งเป็นอ่าวที่มีขนาดใหญ่มากและเป็นปากแม่น้ำพารามัตตาที่ไหลมาจากป่าแถบ Blue Mountain ซึ่งอยู่ทางด้านตะวันตกของเมือง ถ้าเดินทางออกนอกเมืองทางด้านตะวันตกจะผ่านOlympic Park ซึ่งเป็นสนามกีฬาที่เคยจัดการแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิค ปีที่สมรักษ์ คำสิงห์ได้เหรียญทองจากการชกมวยเป็นเหรียญแรกให้กับประเทศไทย 

            ณ.เมืองซิดนีย์ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนรู้ในสิ่งต่างๆมากมายแต่สิ่งหนึ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนรู้คือเมืองไทยเรามีอะไรที่ดีกว่าเช่นศิลปวัฒนธรรม ประเพณีที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวที่มีอายุมายาวนานที่เราควรภูมิใจและรักษาไว้  ออสเตรเลียเป็นประเทศเกิดใหม่ หลายชนชาติหลั่งไหลเข้าไปอาศัยอยู่ไม่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวทางด้านศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม ประเพณียังคงเหลือกลิ่นไอเก่าๆแบบอังกฤษในบางแถบของเมืองเพราะชนชาติแรกที่เข้าไปตั้งถิ่นฐานคือชาวอังกฤษนำโดยกัปตันคุก( James Cook) ที่พาชาวอังกฤษบางกลุ่มเข้ามาตั้งถิ่นฐาน อ่าวที่กัปตันคุกแล่นเรือเข้ามาจอดครั้งแรกเรียกว่า อ่าว โบตานี( Botany Bay) ณ.ที่นี้เป็นท่าเรือเมืองวิดนีย์ด้วยและอยู่ใกล้สนามบิน สาเหตุที่เรียกอ่าวโบตานีเพราะครั้งแรกที่กัปตันคุกพาคณะขึ้นบกครั้งแรกจะสัมผัสกับต้นไม้ที่แปลกไม่เคยพบเห็นในแถบยุโรปมาก่อนและเผชิญกับความแห้งแล้งของพื้นที่จึงสั่งพืชพันธุ์จากที่ต่างๆนำไปทดลองปลูกในออสเตรเลียปรากฏว่าประสบผลสำเร็จ ดังนั้นตามเมืองต่างๆที่มีผู้พักอาศัยเราจะพบพรรณไม้เหมือนบ้านเรา ยกเว้นเข้าไปในป่าจะพบพรรณไม้แบบแปลกๆ  ต่อมามีประชากรหลั่งไหลเข้าไปอาศัยอยู่ในออสเตรเลียจากทุกมุมโลกโดยเฉพาะจีน ญี่ปุ่น เกาหลี  ยิวและประเทศแถบอเมริกาใต้ซึ่งเขาเหล่านั้นจะอาศัยอยู่เป็นแถบใครแถบมัน คนญี่ปุ่นและจีนจะอาสัยอยู่ในแถบเมือง  ย่านค้าขายมีชุมชนจีนขนาดใหญ่เรียกว่า China townจะมีตลาดให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้ไปจับจ่ายใช้สอยในวันพฤหัส ศุกร์ เสาร์ อาทิตย์ที่ศูนย์การค้า Padding marketซึ่งจะขายของที่มาจาก ประเทศจีน  ณ.ที่นั่นเราจะพบนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเดินไปมา

               เนื่องจากประชากรมาจากหลายเชื้อชาติ ขาวออสเตรเลียจึงเรียกตนเองว่าเป็นวัฒนธรรมผสมผสาน

(multi cultures) แต่เขาก็สามารถอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างสงบสุข เคารพกฎหมายอย่างเคร่งครัด ตามท้องถนนถ้าขับรถออกนอกเมืองตามจุดต่างๆคนอาจจะฝ่าฝืนกฎจราจรโดยเฉพาะการขับรถเร็ว จะมีกล้องวงจรปิดติดตั้งตามจุดต่างๆริมถนนไว้ตรวจจับความเร็ว ไม่มีจราจรหัวปิงปองคอยตรวจจับ บรรยากาศทั่วๆไปจะปลอดภัยแม้ยามค่ำคืน บ้านเมืองโดยทั่วไปตามท้องถนนจะสะอาดมากและไม่มีฝุ่นละออง เพราะติดทะเล อากาศทั่วไปจึงสบายไม่ร้อนไม่หนาวอุณหภูมิประมาณ 14- 17องศา เซลเซียส  ซิดนีย์มีชื่อเสียงติดอันดับแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่มีผู้คนจากทั่วโลกนิยมไปเทียวเพราะมีจุดขายคือธรรมชาติและอากาศที่บริสุทธิ์ ประชากรไม่แออัดจนเกินไปเพราะทั้งประเทศอันกว้างใหญ่มีประชากรอาสํยอยู่เพียง 20กว่าล้านคนน้อยกว่าประเทศไทยที่เป็นประเทศที่เล็กๆถึง 3เท่า ตอนกลางของประเทศไม่มีประชากรอาศัยอยู่เพราะแห้งแล้งและบางส่วนเป็นทะเลทราย ประชากรที่อพยพไปอยู่จึงอยู่รอบๆขอบทวีป  ในรัฐ NorthernTerritory:ซึ่งอากาศค่อนข้างแห้งแล้งสงวนไว้เป็นที่อยู่ของชนพื้นเมืองดั้งเดิมของประเทศคือชนเผ่า Aborigine:ซึ่งปัจจุบันเป็นจุดขายของออสเตรเลียในการท่องเที่ยวโดยมีบางกลุ่มเข้ามาในเมืองโชว์ความสามารถพิเศษต่างๆตามที่สาธาณระที่ทางการจัดไว้ให้    ระบบสาธารณูปโภค ระบบขนส่งสะดวกสบาย เราสามารถจะเดินทางโดยรถยนต์ รถไฟหรือเรือข้ามฟาก( Ferry) ที่แล่นในอ่าวซิดนีย์ได้โดยใช้ตั๋วโดยสารที่จ่ายเป็นรายสัปดาห์และใช้ได้ทุกระบบขนส่ง สำหรับรถไฟถ้าวิ่งในเมืองจะวิ่งใต้ดินถ้าออกนอกเมืองจึงวิ่งบนดินซึ่งรถไฟนี้จะวิ่งเชื่อมต่อไปยังเมืองต่างๆ  ซิดนีย์ก็เหมือนเมืองใหญ่ๆทั่วโลกที่จะมีย่านธุรกิจให้จับจ่ายซื้อของฝากเมื่อไปเที่ยว มีอาหาร ภัตตาคารที่คนออสเตรเลียนิยมไปรับประทานในช่วงสุดสัปดาห์เพราะช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ชาวออสเตรเลียจะพักผ่อนโดยออกไปเดินออกกำลังกายในตอนเช้า โดยนิยมเดินเลาะไปตามชายหาดและหน้าผาที่เลียบริมทะเล จุดที่นิยมเดินออกกำลังกายคือจาก North Bondi beach ผ่าน South Bondi beach สู่  Bronte beach ระยะทาง 5 กิโลเมตรซึ่งข้าพเจ้าก็ได้ไปเดินออกกำลังกายมารู้สึกสบายและสดชื่นมากเพราะหาดเหล่านี้อยู่ใกล้ที่พักตอนอยู่ออสเตรเลียได้สัมผัสกับบรรยากาศที่เรียกว่าวัน Easter( 25 มีนาคม) เป็นวันที่พระเยซูเสด็จฟื้นคืนชีพตามความเชื่อทางศาสนาคริสต์เป็นวันหยุดยาวที่ชาวออสซี่ได้พักผ่อนและมีการให้ไข่Easterซึ่งกันและกัน :ซึ่งส่วนมากทำมาจากChocolate

         สำหรับเนื้อหาการอบรมที่ข้าพเจ้าไปรับมาก็เป็นเทคนิคเกี่ยวกับการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารและได้พัฒนาด้านการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษและการสอนโดยใช้การแสดงความคิดเห็นระดมความคิดซึ่งชาวตะวันตกจะสอนให้นักเรียนช่างคิดช่างถามแก้ปัญหา ตั้งประเด็นปัญหาต่างๆด้วยตนเองจับกลุ่มช่วยกันคิดช่วยกันทำ ช่วยกันแก้ปัญหาซึ่งทางการศึกษาของไทยได้พยายามนำมาใช้ในระบบการศึกษาของไทยซึ่งจะประสบผลสำเร็จได้ก็ต้องร่วมมือทุกฝ่ายแต่ในสิ่งดีๆที่คงลักษณะอย่างไทยก็ยังคงมีมนต์เสน่ห์น่าใช้อยู่คือการใช้ใจในการสั่งสอนอบรมเอื้ออาทรแบบไทยๆแต่ปล่อยให้แสดงออกแบบตะวันตกก็เห็นด้วย ถึงแม้จะมีโอกาสไปสัมผัสกลิ่นไอแบบตะวันตกมาใช่ว่าของเขาจะดีเสมอไปหมด นำเอาสิ่งดีๆมาใช้ดัดแปลงสิ่งต่างๆของเราให้เหมาะสมกับกาลและโอกาสจะยอดเยี่ยม 

          การศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้ได้มีโอกาสไปศึกษาดูงานในโรงเรียนมัธยมเห็นระบบการเรียนที่เน้นนักเรียนเป็นสำคัญรู้จักการใช้กระบวนการคิดใรการเรียนรู้ ครูคือผู้ให้คำปรึกษาแนะนำนักเรียนค้นคว้าหาความรู้ซึ่งสิ่งต่างๆเหล่านี้ข้าพเจ้าอยากจะให้เกิดกับนักเรียนไทยซึ่งเรากำลังพัฒนาเขาเหล่านั้นให้คิดเป็นแก้ปัญหาเป็นและอยากให้เกิดมากที่สุดคือความรับผิดชอบและตะหนักในหน้าที่ของตน ซึ่งต้องยอมรับว่าวัยรุ่นไทยส่วนมากในปัจจุบันยังขาดสิ่งนี้ มักจะทำอะไรตามกระแสโดบไม่คิดตรึกตรองก่อน

บทคัดย่อ

             การศึกษาค้นคว้าในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างและหาประสิทธิภาพของชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่น The Land of Thamaka สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนก่อนและหลังเรียนโดยการใช้ชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์ และเพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์

            กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนท่ามะกาวิทยาคม อ.ท่ามะกา จ.กาญจนบุรี โดยเลือกแบบเจาะจงจำนวน 40 คนใช้เวลาในการสอนทั้งหมด 16 ชั่วโมง

            เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาค้นคว้าประกอบด้วย 1) ชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์จำนวน 4 ชุด

2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนก่อนและหลังเรียนโดยการใช้ชุดฝึกทักษะแบบเลือกตอบจำนวน 40 ข้อ  3) แบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อชุดฝึกอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่นThe Land of Thamaka

           การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ใช้สถิติ T-Test เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนก่อนและหลังเรียนโดยการใช้ชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่น The Land of Thamaka สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ซึ่งผู้รายงานสร้างขึ้น หาประสิทธิภาพชุดฝึกทักษะโดยใช้เกณฑ์ 80/ 80  ใช้ค่าเฉลี่ยและส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานในการหาค่าระดับความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อชุดฝึกทักษะ

         ผลการศึกษาค้นคว้าพบว่า

                1. ประสิทธิภาพของชุดฝึกทักษะชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่นThe Land of Thamaka สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 มีค่าเท่ากับ 82.25 / 81.56

                2. ความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนหลังการใช้ชุดฝึกทักษะอ่าน คิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่นThe Land of Thamaka สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 มีค่านัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05

                3.  ดัชนีประสิทธิผลของชุดฝึกทักษะชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่น

        The Land of Thamaka สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.58 แสดงว่าชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่น The Land of Thamaka สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6ทำให้นักเรียนมีความรู้เพิ่มขึ้นจากก่อนเรียนคิดเป็นร้อยละ 58.27

                     4.  นักเรียนมีความพึงพอใจต่อชุดฝึกทักษะอ่านคิดวิเคราะห์เรื่องราวในท้องถิ่น  The Land of Thamaka อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ค่าเฉลี่ย 4.74
